Haman County signed a KRW 6 billion investment agreement (MOU) with Oksan IMT Co., Ltd. on the afternoon of the 16th.

The signing ceremony was attended by Haman County Mayor Cho Geun-je, CEO Cho Dong-won of Oksan IMT, and other officials. Under the agreement, Oksan IMT will expand its manufacturing plant located in Sanae-ri, Gaya-eup, and hire more than 30 new employees.

Founded in 1995, Oksan IMT Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in the production of industrial machinery, currently operating its headquarters and two manufacturing plants in Gaya-eup, Haman.

Recently, the company has expanded its business into factory automation equipment and secondary battery equipment. With growing domestic demand and increasing exports following the establishment of overseas subsidiaries in Vietnam and Hungary, the company has decided to expand its main plant.

CEO Cho Dong-won stated, “With the boom in new industries, we expect significant growth both domestically and internationally,” adding, “We aim to grow together with Haman.”

In response, County Mayor Cho Geun-je said, “We will spare no administrative and financial support to help Oksan IMT make a leap forward as a global company.”
